Aretha Franklin – Diabetic Friendly Diet

Weight loss stories have become popular with celebrities under the age of 50, but from someone over 70 years of age, you rarely hear of an amazing celebrity weight loss story. For this remarkable transformation, the queen of soul music deserves a lot of R-E-S-P-E-C-T. Aretha underwent surgery for an unidentified ailment back in 2010. Although many believed that she had surgery for weight loss, that was not confirmed by Aretha herself.

Franklin has been working out and walking on a treadmill three days a week for at least a mile since her surgery. But she said her diet was her greatest health change, she gave up her favorites in exchange for a whole-foods diet. Aretha Franklin drastically lost almost 100 kilos. Despite struggling with diabetes and other unspecified health conditions that had put her in the hospital in the past, she managed to lose all that weight. In 2018, Aretha Franklin died at her Detroit home at the age of 76. Don Wilson, an attorney who has been with Franklin for years, equally divided her assets to her four children after her demise.
