Adam Goldstein – Gastric Bypass Surgery

Adam Goldstein, also known as DJ Adam, is a celebrity disc jockey known for his spinning talent. But his life is a complex tale of consuming pain and delayed pleasure. He was a troubled child who often contemplated suicide but found a path to fame and wealth somehow. After several years of high and lows, DJ AM has gone through a rehabilitation program where he started monitoring what he ate. In the program, he also focused on his addictions. He underwent gastric bypass surgery and maintained both his sobriety and his weight loss.

Goldstein hosted MTV’s Gone Too Far to help people battling addiction. The show aired in 2012. But despite posing as the model of a recovering addict with more than a decade of sobriety, it was not a happy ending for him. He was found dead in his New York apartment in 2009 due to an overdose. It is reported that he left $3.9 million worth of properties with an existing mortgage of $2.9million.
