Joan Van Ark – Knots Landing

Joan Van Ark was born in New York in 1943 but grew up in Colorado. Her parents are writers and there are three siblings in the family. She married former KNBC-TV reporter John Marshall in 1966. It is very romantic that they have been in love since high school! Now they live in Studio City, California and have an only daughter, Vanessa Marshall. Marshall is also an actress.

Joan Van Ark rose to prominence as Valene Ewing on the primetime soap opera Knots Landing from 1979 to 1993. At the time, she still had that beautiful natural look. However, when she was away from the limelight for quite a while, she returned with a somewhat surprising appearance. By the looks of it, Joan underwent a series of plastic surgeries to look better. So, when she appeared in her 2017 TV movie credits Psycho Wedding Crasher, she looked different.
